Dr. Babakura Mamman is an accomplished teacher, lifelong humanitarian, and Doctor of Philosophy specializing in research and educational technology. Currently serving as a faculty member at the University of Maiduguri, Mamman's primary focus lies in human capital development and the promotion of societal goals by training younger individuals to become future leaders capable of enacting positive change. However, his diverse interests and inclination towards helping marginalized individuals have led him to engage in various activities beyond teaching. Over the past decade, Mamman has witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of armed conflict caused by Boko Haram in his state and its surrounding areas. This experience has shaped his perspective, leading him to develop a keen interest in conflict management and resolution. Additionally, the influx of displaced persons, increased poverty, and economic struggles faced by his community have deeply impacted him. As a result, Mamman has dedicated his efforts to public interest causes, volunteering in forums, engaging in radio and TV discussions, advocating for change, and providing direct support to affected individuals and communities. His expertise lies in a range of areas, including research, data analysis, instructional design, blended learning, curriculum development, critical thinking, decision making, conflict management, and positive psychology. These areas of specialization have given him valuable insights into education, research, innovation, teaching and learning trends, and the humanitarian crises prevalent in today's world. Mamman's philosophy and skills are rooted in the pursuit of social equality, with the aim of fostering a brighter future for his community and beyond.
